Dermal Fillers

Dermal fillers are volumising treatments using a form of Hyaluronic Acid, a naturally occurring substance in the body, to smooth out fine lines and wrinkles.

What are dermal fillers:
Injectable dermal fillers are medically approved soft tissue procedures that can temporarily restore your skins volume and structure, diminishing facial lines and restoring volume and fullness to the face, thus rejuvenating your appearance with a softer, smoother and more youthful look.
Dermal fillers contain Hyaluronic acid (HA), a naturally occurring substance which provides skin with elasticity and volume and retains moisture. However, as we age, our levels of Hyaluronic acid diminish. This is where the gel within dermal fillers can help: plumping thin lips, enhancing shallow contours, softening facial creases, smoothing away wrinkles and folds and improving the appearance of recessed scars.

How do dermal fillers work?
Fine needle injections are used to fill lines, working within the different layers of the skin to plump, add volume and structure and as a result, improve the appearance of the aging skin.

What happens during the treatment?
During the actual procedure, you will be given a series of skin injections which can vary slightly in depth depending on the look you wish to achieve. Local anaesthetic cream can used prior for those individuals that are sensitive to injectable procedures. Treatment is quick and should take around 30 minutes, however, this is individual to each client. Results and improvement can be seen straight away and this continues over a few days, lasting up to six months depending on the filler used, skin care etc.

Types of dermal filler
There are various fillers available that are aligned to the area of the face to be treated, whether you want volume to be replaced or to smooth out wrinkles, lines and folds. Areas which can be treated include :
